“RELAXATION massage IS THE best for back pain” New medical evidence in the July 7, 2011 edition of the leading journal, Annals of Internal Medicine, shows that relaxation massage therapy beats standard medical care for Low Back pain. Researchers from three leading U.S. universities, compared “relaxation massage”, “structural massage”, or “usual medical care” in 401 adults for chronic back pain. Eight sessions of either type of massage proved much better than usual medical care, and relaxation massage emerged better on all scores than structural massage. Furthermore, the benefits lasted at least 6 months for each type of massage, with the relaxation massage still providing benefit after one year. |
